Holding your own event at SKSC:
>> SKSC Range use and Club Rental Rules and Policy <<
As SKSC is a member owned, volunteer run facility, we have established the following policy.
As of JAN 1, 2016:
1) SKSC will no longer be for rent by outside commercial for-profit organizations.
2) SKSC will no longer be for rent or use by members who are running classes.
3) SKSC will recognize current agreements with our CPL class trainers, Hunter safety, and winter league
4) All non – profit and other requests will need to be brought to the board for approval
- These steps are being put in place to protect our club from liability issues and other concerns as a result of outside organizations and members who are not using the facility within the safety and usage guidelines we have long established.
- Anyone interested in attending CPL classes should contact our SKSC authorized CPL trainer. Details and contact information can be found here.
- Any member is still allowed to bring guests to the club, as long as they are under their direct supervision.
- Members may not run classes, charge fees, or use the bays in a way not in compliance with the SKSC safety guidelines.
- ANY AND ALL violations of the above policy will result in revocation of your membership.
- Outside organizations include, but are not limited to: police, military, shooter training classes and church groups
- No member or organization may charge for the use of SKSC facilities.
We try to accommodate special requests when and where we can, for example, we host several church-league or veterans group trap & skeet shoots throughout the year during hours that are not open to the general public. These shoots require a member of our Board of Directors to sponsor the event, and be present during the event. These steps can get you started:
- Download the SKSC Event Notification Form file to your computer
- Open the file with the free Adobe Acrobat Reader application
- Fill out as much as the form as you can (boxes highlighted in RED are mandatory)
- Print out a copy of the completed form for yourself
- Save the completed form to your PC
- E-mail the completed form to SKSC at: info@sksc.org
- You will need to attend one of our monthly Board of Directors meetings in order to finalize the date, time and plans for your special event.
Every situation is a bit different, but the steps above are fairly typical of the process. And don’t forget that you will need at least one board member to sponsor your event.
